Properties: Silicone rubber is an extremely versatile substance that has a vast array of applications. It is very similar in qualities to EPDM rubber – high resistance to weathering, ultraviolet light, ozone, and extreme temperatures. In this case, it exceeds EPDM’s temperature resistance, particularly in high heat instances.

Uses: If you need a flashing for a roof vent, chimney, or air duct that has constant or regular heat flowing through it, we recommended a silicone rubber flashing which is tested up to 500°F.

Be sure to check the temperature rating of your pipe or conduit to determine how high a temperature you need to protect against. Also, vents can come with single, double, and even triple insulation walling to reduce surface heat. Make sure your flashing can withstand the temperature range it will put out!

We offer customers our best-selling pipe flashings styles in both EPDM rubber and Hi-Temp Silicone Rubber. Don't see the style you need? Contact us. We can help!
